Time

Time is a funny thing, isn't it?
You strive
you keep yourself busy,
chasing one dream after another,
hoping for a better tomorrow

Often missing the present,
And often failing
to make time
for your loved ones

Somewhere in the future
you had planned,
you slow down
and have plenty of time to spare

You wish to have time
with your loved ones
only to realise
they are now chasing
the future
you once chased yourself
and have no time to spare.

Time is a funny thing indeed.
